Only ridden one once, for about 30 miles.

Compared with my M1000sie, I found it very grabby indeed.
Sharp as a button to ride, but the throttle was very 'on-off'.

Not able to help much more than that, except to say its obviously going to be in the 'more expensive' end for servicing as its water cooled, like its successor the S4R.

Usual ducati servicing to be checked, no known 'major' probs - except the odd 'Ducati' related ones.

Most are now going for £3,500 - up to £4,200 for a minter

Very happy with mine. Lots of fun and bags of grunt. Not as smooth as Cks m1000 at under 4k but takes off after that. Im just a plodder on mine and lots of two up riding. Its a great bike for me even though I would love a superbike as well. Handles nice.:D:D:D

A very good bit of kit and priced excellently at the moment !! Servicing aside, some owners prefer to ditch the clip ons in favour of the S4R's magura handlebar setup which makes for a more comfortable riding position. Ducati sell this as a kit and I can put you in touch with some people who have made the change if it helps

Good luck ! Most fun bike youll ever own.
