All us 03 boys, seen this.... At around a grand + vat, does look the biz though. |
no performance or handling gain though? |
Then again, if you're worried about this years fashion you could buy a yamakawahonduki and change the whole thing every year. If I had a 03 999R and a grand to spend it'd be off to the CSS for some intensive rider training to see if I could get anywhere near the handling potential that the bog standard 03 swingarm could provide me with. Somehow I don't think I'd get anywhere near. |
Its a shiny thing! |
If you did have a 03 999r you wouldnt want to ride it to anywhere near the full potential of the swing arm as careless mistakes cost more. I have learnt the hard way that as wonderful as the machines are, we are sadly only as good as we are, and my budget is only as big as it is. That said, I wouldnt swap my 999r riding experiences back. If i wanted to go balls out i would buy something cheaper. I have also learnt that the whole Ducati experience is more than just the riding! Or else we wouldnt be sat here writing this. I enjoy the mechanical modification side of things as much as the riding. The swing arm thing is a commit to memory, and one day see if i can get one, first at a good price, and then second, enjoy the modifying and fitting. Oh, and intensive rider training has come free..........;) |
I assume that would also fit the 04 models aswell? |
