Slipper clutch help please I'm looking at buying a STM slipper for my 749 but am confused as they talk about number of teeth etc. There has probably been a thread before but can some one give me the info I need to purchase in none technical speak Thanks G :puzzled: |
Two types 1) that can use your std plates, and six or four post with conventional springs. 2) A 48 tooth one that has specific plates, different to your originals. It also uses one central diaphragm spring. I prefer option 1. |
Its option 1 that Ive been looking at. Does this then fit any clutch on 749 by dropping straight in. Ive also seen the Casoli but couldn't get any info on it |
should do. where have you been looking ? |
YOu need to assemble a slipper with correct plate stack height, plate order etc, its not like say a cover you just fit. Can be quite simple when you know how;) |

Think I'm gonna have to decide if I need one or just go for bling plate and cover. Never realy missed one for road riding before. Cheers G |

You could give Nelly a ring at Cornerspeed, he sells/fits STM clutches so he'll be able to put you straight. He fitted my 4 tooth STM slipper for me. |
