Hyperlight brake discs Anyone have experience of their discs? They're being punted on e-bay at the moment, and even if the quality is half as good as their spiel, £109 per disc seems reasonable. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...4913 970&rd=1 For that matter, anyone have a nice pair of gently used discs for sale? |
Well, how much are the stock Ducati discs these days? I bought one in Dec 2001 and it cost £97.01 + VAT. Have they gone up much since? |
They weigh a ton so the name Hyperlight is a bit of a joke and as the price sugests they are cheap and you get what you pay for, nowhere near the quality of Braking which are not much more or PFM. |
Answering your own question dept: Stock Brembo disc for my 2001 748 is £126.50 incl VAT, according to my local dealers. I think that's quite reasonable. |
As Moto748 says, stock Ducati disks are Brembo - on of the best makes you can get for brake systems. Don't be tempted by cheap tarty stuff as it just won't be as good. |
