Racing at Croft on July 10/11

This will be my second race meeting of the season, again with Derby-Phoenix. Now that Weeksy improved his time at Mallory by over two seconds, I am glad he's not coming up North to Croft. ;)

I'll be running in the 750/twins class on Saturday and Sunday, and the All-comers on Saturday as well. My race number is 166.

I am hoping to improve on my finishes from Cadwell back in May and hopefully get in the top 8 in the 750/twins race. Judging by Weeksy's report, the All-comers race will be a different story altogether.

Current weather forecast calls for rain, but they are almost always wrong. Don't really pay attention to them much anymore.

Championship standing as of May 31st:

Formula 750cc & Twins

Danny Bodill 122
Russell Bennett 85
Lee Kitchen 72
Steve Sarson 54
Pete Middleton 42
Dan Rack 40
Paul Emery 30
Colin Grover 30
Gary Bassett 20
Stephen Howlett 17
Roger Needham 17
Adrian Ottewell 15
Alan Beresford 15
Pete Tindall 14
Mark Woods 14
Colin Norris 13
David Abel 13
Shaun Sutton 6
Lee Wright 3
Scott Bingley 2
Felix Hirzel 1
Jeff Gouch 1

Weeksy will be on this list as well now with his 9th place finish at Mallory, equal on points.

Sorry to say I won't be at Cadwell (even though it is my birthday). The wife is expecting right around that date. Realistically, aside from Croft, Donington looks most likely and maybe the only other date for me this year.:(

I'll be dissappointed if I don't get a novice trophy this time. Steve Sarson, 4th in the Championship and a novice! Respect!

good luck Felix.

Monty and I are at Snetterton this weekend with New Era Superclub on the TZ250 and I'm also taking my CB5 for some elbow bashing with the mad boys.

How are your bruises? Best of luck!

I'm fine thanks Felix, still sore and stiff and my ankle and fingers are still hurting. Not any thoughts of pulling out of Snet, just hoping I can forget it whilst racing. Heavy braking should be interesting!!!!
