1098 jumping out if gear under acceleration?

Just needing some advice from anyone with a similar problem.

My 2008 1098 is amazing but when I want to have a play and accelerate sharply the bike jumps out of gear, usually in 2nd and 3rd gear and always in the high revs around and above 8k rpm. Starting to concern me that its maybe not me that's not quite knocking the gear lever enough and that the gearbox might have an issue?

Think I've got about 2 weeks before my warranty expires so wondering if its a job for the dealer or a poorly adjusted gear selector?

Thanks in advance. Dean

Well its not torque related Dean, could be adjustment that the claw is not pulling the selector drum around fully. But get it in to dealer quick and let them sort it.

Hope you are OK not heard from you in ages. :)

Cheers mate. Ill take it in, scares the crap out of me when it decides neutral is appropriate during an overtake!!

I'm good Phil cheers, not been on a track all yet which is not good but fingers crossed ill be back in the not too distant future.

Good luck at the final round, all being well the weather will still be mild for you all

Maybe need some rain to level the opposition, best I can do is 3rd in the championship. But I can lose that place also.

You would do well in B or A if you came back.

Good going that, 3rd in your first year in the class. And let's not forget last years B champ.

Be nice to see the paddock again... Even if its just to spectate. See if I can pick up a machine over the winter and come and play next year. ;-)

Be great if you could, get Shane back on board too.

It sounds like a misaligned shifter fork. quiet a few early 1098/848s suffered with this, but should be fixed under warrenty or it could just be the shift spring needs to be adjusted or it could be your just not firm enough with your gear shifts :)

Haha, got a really gentle touch me! Lol

Think Shane's racing days are gone now.... Traded his blade in for something that has a back box on it. :-/

Cheers for the help guys.
