999R 05 Exhaust System

I found the 749 exhaust posts very interesting, I am about to order the full 57mm system for my R. Dealer has suggested the Leo Vinci from a looks perspective, but I like to keep things Factory. Anyone else with an 05 R, and already changed their exhaust.

A guy on speedzilla with an '05 999R has a new full 57 system and the shape of the pipes and everything looks identical to my 749 system (pics in the other thread). Just my opinion but the Termi system looks better than any other by far. I know I may get beat for this but besides the Termi, I actually kinda like the Remus system as well. Let the bashing begin.

someone who has got an 05 999R!! a rare breed indeed:P

welcome to the site!
be interested to what you think about the bike?

i would go Termi on an 999R.....

Get either a Termi or Leo Vinci ONLY. I wouldn't get anything other than the best for a 999R.

Thanks for the interest, I have ordered the Termi, ( although I am an Akropovic Dealer amongst other things!!). Checked out the speedzilla site and I was suprised at the triangular section system, I have been useing the report in MCN with the large photo's of the 05'R that the Factory fitted all the goodies to, although no dealer I have contacted can identify the Y shape carbon heatshield, and I have seen it again, similar, on the standard 999 on speedzilla that is pictured with the full system.... Is this too long for a reply/post, is there some sort of protocol???... Greetings from the Isle of Man, Road Racing Capital of the World.

what mcn, have I mist a article,?:flame::burn::burn:

MCN dated 22 June 2005, features a 30K factory tricked up 'R, and includes the piece of carbon heatshield, in close up, which no Dealer, or Ducati UK seem able to identify. I did see it fitted to a certain Ramsey(IOM) resident's F05 last week on the TV, so perhaps he can rob me one!!!!:devil:
