999 Touring and luggage??

Thinking about a week or 2 away on the 999 but need to work out how to carry stuff. Looks like a Baglux tank bag and ventura system seem to be the best bet. Does anyone have any other suggestions??

i use ventura stuff-- brilliant !!! ( spada + delta bag )

gives about 80 litres total and rock solid..

no looking in mirrors convincing yourself your soft panniers are about to fall off !!!

Ventura, definitely. Works for me.

Luggage - 999

Just used the Ventura system on a trip to Le Mans. Excellent. Once the frame is on the luggage is so quick to load/unload. Just costly to purchase!

woh, that looks quite high, is it a big pack or are they all like that?? i only need about 35 litres if i use a tank bag as well

That's a 44 litre pack and yes it is high. Trick is to pack all the heavy stuff low down. On my recent trip I put a heavy rucksack of a mate on top of the rucksack with bungees and it was like having a pendulum on the back. My mate who was on a 749 BP used some Oxford panniers over the pillion seat, bungeed to the foot pegs. Just had to protect the body work from scratches.

the "delta" bag is only 35 litres...
this can be used on its own or zipped onto the spada bag (45litres).
to be honest the frame is so good you can fit any old backpack / bag to it securely.
