2001 900ie super sport

Hi every one that knows things, i have got a 916 but due to how cheap it was and if i did not buy it the poor 900ie was going to be all on its own like in the film home alone ,as the person that owered it was of to Australia so here i am with the bike .I was thinking its got after marget pipes on it but i seen a few 900ie s with high level pipes like a superlight, does any one know if i could lift my silencers up or if i have to buy a complte new kit and if so what make they would have to be is there any one that could help cheers Pod .

Hi Pod.

I dare say its possible but a few things occur to me.

Most high level cans I've seen on the injected bikes use aftermarket oval units, I'm not sure how practical it would using OEM due to the width of the silencers?

Depending on what cans you are using custom link pipes and mounting brackets probably will be needed but might well be cheaper than buying a new set of silencers, unless Ebay comes up trumps for you!

Good luck.

Depends what after narket cans are on it, some have a seperate intermediate pipe and others don't. If they do then you can get Hi level link pipes.

I picked up a set of 888 Hi Level adapters at an Auto Jumble a few months and these were perfect for converting Matt Lawsons 900SSie to Hi level
I did have a photo somewhere but can't locate it at the moment
