S4r advice

Hi all,

I see a few people have taken the plunge off the sports bike and into the world of the naked machine.

Thinking about chopping in my 996 and getting an S4R but before I do I would be really keen to hear peoples opinions, especially people who own an S4R and had a 748/916/996 before.

So, what do people think of them?

Cheers

Guy

Had a 916..still own a 888, but youll never have so much fun as on a monnie...trust me (I got into 'em by default!!).

Picked my S4R up today and I bleedin love it !

Insurance is much cheaper too.

Awesome bike-I don't own one, but rode one for about 400 miles last year in Austria and over the Dolomites courtesy of Ducati Italy-long story.
I have had a 900SS, 996, and own an ST4S, would buy an S4R today if you could put panniers on it but you can't so I will stick with the ST4S.
WJB who races my TZ rates it very highly also-even though he nearly totalled DUK's demonstrator by highsiding it at Mallory.........................

I think the S4R is lovely, the looks, the feel, the awesome ride, only thing I would do is down change front sprocket, then it perfect for road riding.. but it really is such an awesome machine.... - go for it.... :)
