snetterton prospects??

very little DD chat this morning so i'll start it off.

how do you think you will fair at snetterton?

i want a top 15 place and would like to avoid being lapped twice by the leaders, could be a close call though.

its a surprisingly long time at full speed on a monster so i can forsee some potential bike problems. mine gave up on a recent trackday. so assuming i have my bike back top 15 would suit me.

i dont think you will get lapped twice ... perhaps the back markers may get lapped but doubt any in the top 15 would..i cannot see the race being ridden at top pace top lap times for the full 30 minutes......
I think the ability to stay focused and mentally on the ball is going to be the key .....
No projections of where im gonna finish though.....

as a note the SS was ridden back to back for 2 x 20 mins sessions at silverstone so im praying that it will be ok...it is after all only 30 mins and if the bikes cannot run for that then there is summit wrong,,,,,

I don't think the bikes will expire. Mine did 6 or 7 half hour sessions two days in a row in Spain and it was 20 odd degree's. Maybe some of the older bikes might experience some issues, Ali seems to be having some heat related issues with his bike.

It will just be the rider I think, if you can stay focused and keep your mental 'togetherness' you'll be fine. I don't think anyone is really going to taper off physically, because it's not overly physical work and it's only 30 minutes. As long as everyone stays fairly relaxed on the bike and remembers to breath that is!

I'll be disappointed if I finish outside the top ten.

I'll be disappointed if bike#36 finishes outside the final 10.

Andy is fit & roaring to go too:), but he does say that the long straight will give a lot of advantage to the 620's, and I tend to agree. So to finish in the first half of the field would be good:)

Hey-ho - its going to be interesting in seeing who is as fit as they say they are - particularly with the race being so late in the day - and after most have had a good squirt in the mornings trackday sessions:)

Hmmm - think mental fitness and maintaining concentration will come into play perhaps.

I'm worried about Max being run at that pace for that time though :o

I'm hoping that the tracktime i'm getting in will stand me in good stead- I'd like not to be last this time but so long as Max and I finish in one piece then i'll be satisfied with that I guess.

Sssshhhh! Dont tell him, but...

We'll both have to gang up on Mike's Numptystrada then Lin ;)
