Made in Spain, probably explains the colour Q, When is a Ducati not a Bologna bullet A, When its a Mototrans one made in spain Was just looking through and old motorcycle catalouge that I bought in 1977 and came acrosa a lovely looking Mototrans -Ducati 350 Vento Cafe racer. Similar to the one in link below but the pic I have is in Yellow http://www.revistamotosdeayer.com/du...-350_id1023487 Also on the same page is a Mototrans-Ducati 50 mini 3, a little Monkey bike making 2.3bhp from its 47.6cc engine so not really a bike for doing either the Giro or the Mini Giro on. Had a quick search but not found a pic of one yet, but the one in my catalogue looks a lot better than the pic of a Mini 2 that I found http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_t9-XvzrkyV...h/Escanear.jpg |
Now the interesting thing is that I think that I know a guy who has a couple of the monkey bikes! Will be seeing him at the end of teh month. I think they might make an excellent paddock bike in DD! |
Just found a pic similar to the one in my book so it should be a Mini 3 http://www.madeinitalymotorcycles.com/mini.jpg I think your right Chris it would make a novel paddock bike, even has a rack for carrying yhe wheels to and from the Holbeach tyre truck |
1 Attachment(s) Kev, How about the one in the foreground? Same engine but in a scrambler frame! I think it is from the late 60s There are 4 of the monkey bikes, behind it. Chris |
