If you're only after the sound I'd keep the £400 for my back pocket to spend on other goodies for the bike :D

i've had a good look but can't seem to come to any conclusions, apart from the 52mm full system without the fim chip reduces power output.i still have 1 year warranty left so would have to use the DP one.so are the the 45/50 better?and will it run that badly with the standard chip?Any comments taken on board !!!!!!!cheers :puzzled:

The 45/50mm open system with chip might give you a bit more power but you're unlikely to notice it. You might notice your bike running much smoother, especially with the FIM ultimap chips. You will notice the sound!

The 52mm system with the right chip should give a decenable power increase but only after some additional fettling by someone like Sigma Performance or Cornerspeed or similar.

looks like i'll be going for the 45 to 50 system then.part (no 96105502B) then n see how it goes with the std chip.

I put a 45mm (race Termis) & ICU on my 998 & it makes a difference , not a masive one but its noticable the bike seems to run so much better I also got the mixture checked & the Co2 put up a bit to near 4% & this helped again ,some day soon i will get it dyno'd again (been saying this foar ages )
