Monster fuel tank weight? Does anyone know the difference in weight between the plastic and metal monster fuel tanks? |
The metal one Skids lent me to post to Numbnuts in Scotland was around 7.5kg |
I remember reading that the plastic tanks are heavier. Mark |

I was also told by 2 or 3 people that the plastic ones were about 1kg heavier, but I haven't weighed one. |
The plastic ones way 1-2+ maybe more kg than the metal ones, that was one of the main reasons that we put a 748/916 one on Otie's bike. Chris:burn: |
I HAVE A PLASTIC ONE AND IT DEFINATELY FEELS HEAVIER THAN THE OLD SS ONE,I WILL TRY AND MEASURE THIS WEEKEND,THE POSITIVE IS THAT THEY ARE MORE ROBUST IN THE EVENT OF A CRASH OR NUCLEAR FISION ,SHOULD YOUR FLUX CAPACITOR FAIL !!!! |
