Polen\'s bike FS All you need is a spare $50000..! http://www.ducati.net/classifieds/de...on.cfm?id=6552 http://ducati.home.sapo.pt/ |
There you go Logyk! You wanted something with a bit of history. |
That certainly has some history if it is genuine....however I think I will pass on that one ......be too afraid to ride it !:o |
I don't think it the actual bike he won on, more a case of one of several he was using, maybe a spare bike. would need to see some serious provenance for it . very nice bike...., won't say no to it . |
More info... (culled from another site) "It's Polen's 1993 AMA Championship bike. The forks are the give-away. Only the 1993 works bikes used the Ohlins FG9340 forks. The upper triple clamp is stamped DP1. It is the sister bike to Tom Tasso's DP2 bike". That seals the deal. Now, where did I put my piggy bank...? |
good detective work there mate, pity the seller could'nt have put up a better pic, and more info to start with. Doh, just looked at the other link, corection about pics etc, must have missed that link somehow.:puzzled::puzzled: [Edited on 17-9-2005 by Red SPS] |
