ESPN Classics. Fire up the VCR,(does anyone still use those?),there is some TV gold lurking in the listings this week. Friday 23rd Jan,2,10pm-1982 Transatlantic from Brands. Gotta be worth a look.:) |
Did anyone watch the first of these yesterday? Boy,did Oulton look rough in 1977!Great atmosphere tho with the mega crowd. No cosy garages or hospitality,...just a 500cc World Champ,a Tranny van and caravan.Great shots of the crowd too,..all long hair and Levi's. I dont want to be a spoiler,so I wont mention the result.;) Looking forward to the next programme. |

Didn't see it, was the result different then?? Watching stuff from all that time ago makes you thinks how things have moved on safety wise and how much more stuff teams think are essential to go racing now, big transporters, hospitality, and a cast of thousands. Safety is a good thing but not sure all the other froth has added much to the sport as something participants and spectators can enjoy though. Ray. |
Thanks Keefy. Be tuning in tonight |
