Testastretta Deep Sump Torque Settings

Grateful if anyone can tell me the torque seetings for the four hex socket bolts holding the sump plate at the base of the deep sump. Bike is a 998R but I guess it is the same for the S and the 996R.

I have them written down somewhere, will have a look when hangover clears. I know its only a very small amount as I misread the settings when I did mine! As I was tightening them I thought to myself these are much too tight and then one snapped, Silly mistake.

Thanks Martin.

I torqued them to 10nm this morning but began to get a bit concerned that this felt too much - so have slackened them awaiting the correct figure.

My slight worry was, that when I took the plate off first time the bolt were finger tight.

Cheers

Tim

I presume the above torque setting is the same for the deep sump 999 engines.

Nelly beat me to it.

Have got back my piece of mind and retightened to 9NM. Was bit concerned I may have overtightened and was anticipating that horrible feeling where the torque increases and then the bolt goes horribly loose. Luckily that didn't happen, so I can look forward to the bottom of the negine and all of its 3.8l of oil staying in the right place.

Thanks to all who helped

It only needs to happen once to get that sinking feeling forever after....

..... and you got to admit the idea of drilling out a crankcase to rethread it.. .. is just toooooo aweful to contemplate:puzzled:
