which chain? mines looking gash, anyone recommend a good one?:eureka: [Edited on 23-3-2006 by pedro] |
I'm in the same boat ...... mine is looking a bit minging. Previous owner road the bike through Autumn commuting in London, did it no good at all. I was thinking of one of the gold DID type chains, will be interested to see what others say. |
I wouldn't go near a DID...................... seen/heard of too many snapping, especially gold ones. May be just bad luck but it's too regular for my liking. I've been fitting Tsubaki SigmaR for 3 years now without even so much as a hiccup. Far from lightweight, but they last well, don't stretch too much and are cheaper than the DID. |
Nelly fitted a tsubaki for me and I've been very impressed, It's only needed adjusting once in 6K miles |

Nelly, I think some of my cash may be coming your way :D |
ragina gold the dogs got one on mine |
ive allways had gold erv did ones even in 520 pitch on my 998s, ive never had one break. Tsubaki you need their special tool to fit one.....did use the regular chain rivetter! |
DON'T TOUCH D.I.D CHAINS! AVOID! AVOID! AVOID! i can recommend tsubaki though:eureka: |
