Trackday Tyre Pressures
 

Just had a pair of Supercorsa 3's fitted to the 996R and wondered if anybody has advice regarding tyre pressures for trackdays? I guess the pressure goes up quite a bit once the tyre is warm so if normal pressures at cold are used do the pressures get too high when warmed well up?

Even a starting point to try would be handy.

Cheers Chris, I'm running the 180 rear rather than 190 as the bike handles better on this set up. Pressures still OK for that?

For what its worth I run 29psi rear & 30psi front on my 996 track bike, never had any problems.

Its a 7Mb download and sadly only contains info on the std 996 & 996S, std 996 track pressures they list are 29R/31F, which I guess ties in with the above.

Those settings from PB are for the poverty versions of the 996.:D Mr James has an r, almost the pinacle of the 916/996/998 series fitted with Ooooooohlins:lol:

29 rear 31 front wont be far away if its dry.

I find the bike doesn't feel right on the lower than road pressures until the tyres have warmed up the pressures have gone up.

Does anyone have any "target" pressures for warm/hot tyres from a reliable source?

i know it is metric but 1.9 front and 2.1 rear. Got this from a Ducati team racing at Oscherleben some time ago. Seems to be fine.
