side light ? one of my side lights are out and the mot is due soon, is it as much of a pain to get to as it looks or is there a short cut ? |
916 etc just pull the rubber boot/seal off and hey presto a bulb ;) No need for any tools or removal of any bodywork |
cheers mate but i`m talking about the side/parking lamp not the high/low. |
Sorry to tell you that the handbook says remove the front fairing and the horn! Thats not too bad, but still a bit of a pain!. One thought, my 1997 bike only has one sidelight, and got its test OK last month, maybe ones enough?! |
yeah probly would go through with one, but i`m one of those people that has to have everything working, i think the term is anal so i`m told. well at least everything else on the bike looks easy to get at. |
I had mine completely in pieces, and there was only one bulb and holder. Interestingly enough though I just looked at the parts list on the Ducati ste for a 00 model, and the picture shows two bulbs, but the parts list says there is only one! Might be worth clarifying before you start the strip down! I would be inteested to hear the outcome! |
definitely 2 in my 2000 996. parts list may give one Number because they are both the same type bulbs. |
