Sage advice needed Newbie in need of advice for a 748 BP (yellow topcoat) - Put some 45mm Termi's on but blows at connection of lh can. Not bad but no amount of wrestling will sort it. Don't want to fill it full of paste so thinking I will just leave it - what d'ya think? I want to get some minor scratches touched up (stop it.......) Anyone any idea how much for half a dozen scratches on lower l fairing and seat panel? Also, can anyone recommend someone reputable in N London area? Also whats the local club for N.London should I ever be brave enough to turn up? And before you all start whinging I've done my round at the bar........ D:puzzled: |
Hi DJB, Silicone sealant in the pipe joint should do the trick. Spinoli |
I agree, Silicone is a good method as it won't bond to the pipes but will form a seal. Normal sealant is not that temperature tolerant though. I've seen various different brands available but DOW CORNING 816 HIGH TEMPERATURE SILICONE is one of the biggest makers |
Thanks guys - I'll give that a go. Anybody any thoughts on the paintwork? Ta |
You could let the yellow top-coat abrade away naturally, drive through a few hedges, that sort of thing. Hopefully underneath it will be the proper colour. (I wish I knew how to put the little laughing faces on, for when you're have a joke) Can't help with the N. London thing - I'm a long way away. Spinoli |
