Whats the difference... (Ignore the Arrows) Whats the diffence Between these 2 clutch plates, 1's got a solid friction pad whilst the other has seperate pads. |
wet clutch / dry clutch? slipper v's std? old v's new? do they both work? :D |
Sintered versus carbon? |
as andy says, the left is standard (not sure wot it's made of) and the the right is a sintered. I think... |
That said i dont know what make, my sintered ones are seperate parts ie slotted. |
I think you will find . . . they are both Carbon - just different types of plate! sintered plates have a golden colouring to them and are usually on steel. Khushy |
So is Sintered Better?? what difference will i notice to the Standard ones |

Depends how much power your trying to put through them |
The one on the left looks like a standard item, on a steel plate (try a magnet) and the one on the right is a Surflex carbon item. The Surflex is an upgrade over stock. Higher friction material, so able to handle more HP. The Surflex pack usually builds with thinner steels so you can 8 or 9 plates in to increase the surface area of friction material to. |
