6k service Is £450 for a main dealer 6k , 1st year service outside of what anyone else gets quoted. I was expecting <300 for a 6k. Any feedback gratefully accepted. keith |
I paid £450 inc vat for my 6k service last month at Ron parkinsons essex, extras were, exhaust pipe plug £7.28, pinion fixing plate £2.69 and a 4-v open shim £4.32, labour was the bulk of the cost @ £245..... 748 bip. |
Just looked on Ducati Manchester, nearset to me (45miles!!)They charge from £309(748bp/s) to £365(748r-what i've got!) all plus vat.If you don't need a stamp for warranty purposes, have a look on the forum for independants recommended by people on the forum ie Cornerspeed,JHP,Sigma etc. You'll probably get a better job at a more reasonable price too!! |
6k service Text and if you live within 50mls radius of JHP DUCATI coventry collection is free !!!!!!! ;) |
I was quoted £450 by my nearest ducati dealer for a 6k service. Luckily I have a second main dealer only 16 miles away and he did the service for under £350. |
£450 sounds about right. I had 6k done at Duc Manchester with belts and new clutch plates for about £487 after discount. Bike is a 996. Wouldnt go anywhere but a pucca dealer if you are in warranty. If you are not then speak to Nelly (Cornerspeed). Hes yer man. |
Thanks for the input guys. Mine is an 748R and yes i do need the Warranty stamp, especially in light of the ongoing rocker issue. Not worth the risk of missing a stamp. Thanks again |
paulk, why did they change the belts on a 6k service? They shouldn't need changing until 12k or 2yrs. |

The bike was 2 years old at 6k mls - so had 6k service and belts rather than 12k service on the dealers suggestion. |
