998 fairings on 996 like the look of slab side and, if I have to chnage anyway, thought I may go down this route...any risks with doing this? |
Not that I know of mate, I'll be doing the same. |
no problems at all. I use 998 trackday fairings on my 748. must admit, the look is growing on me, especially with the 998R belly pan :) |
You've just gotta go fast - that's all!!!! ;) Those airflow / cooling vents must have been there for a reason I reckon - so don't slow down!!!! |
you will have to use the 996 v piece ,no probs otherwise. Butch |
i have them on mine. no probs |
Any advice on where to get good plastic 998 fairing lowers (prefereably pre coloured (red) and bellypan. Thinking about storing the carbon ones off the 998R and using something I am less worried will get nicked. |
aniother reason to show yer bike off keefer...like it!! Are they plastic or f/g? Seen a set of 998r ones but not sure whether I will be happy riding around with 998R on the side! If I can find some similar just with ducati on, may be a goer and probably just a cheap as new std! |
yep true tart me. they are f/g working on some carbon ones at the mo. doesn't matter what you get just get them sprayed however you like I personally would not buy brand new as it will be very expensive as you say. best to get some second hand lots of red ones out there ;) [Edited on 24-10-2005 by keefer] |
