Sorry guys, been in Spain........

Well, first of all tell the 996 998r boys their throttle actions too quick and unmanageable, with the 120+ horses!!!! I think not.

The whole purpose as far as im concerned is to take away a vague throttle feeling that needs 30%(+ all the extra slack) more turn to open it.

I suppose riding only on smooth tracks means you can get away with this Dickie...

:P

Hope to find out a bit more this week.

999 throttle assy

got mine sorted today, a bit of a fiddle but not rocket science...
just remove the return pull cable ,
cut off the plastic curved portion on the end of the pull cable,
fit a screw adjuster (like on a push bike or moto x bike),
fit on the 996 throttle assy and re adjust the cable slack
job done..

all the parts layed out

Nice work mate. I dont want to *******ise the original cables though, so im using a 998 cable. Slightly larger externals but same job.
This way ill keep the 999 stuff for that day when i swap it all back.

andy,
have you fitted the 998 cable yet?
i was under the impression that it was also to short.....

I
f I understand correctly JHP are looking to have custom made dual cable throttle. No firm news on price or when it will be available, but I was told to call back in a couple of weeks for more news
