Early M600 Clutch

Is there anything that can be done to make the clutch lighter on a 1997 M600 with the internal slave cylinder? Different master cylinder perhaps?

I think most of the early clutch master cylinders have a 13mm Piston with the later Ducati ones having a 12mm piston, so changing to one is unlikely to help, maybe one off a japanese mode may do the job, not neccesarily a bigger piston but a different lever ratio depending on where they have put the fulcrum point

Hmm dunno if a differant master cylinder would make much differance.I guess this is for 'er indoors bike, how about fitting an adjustable lever so its easier on the fingers? The grey 916 type should fit.

Cheers guys. Yep its for Lynn. She's having problems with it hurting the tendons in the back of her hand. It might actually be a medical problem rather than a bike problem. But Ducati clutches (even with special slave cylinders) are not especially light.
An adjustable lever sounds like it might be a cheap ish fix, i'll look into that a bit more.

yep thats exactly what i done on my 600ss fit the 916 levers-- certainly helped great deal-- it wasnt as much the pressure of the old lever as the reach
