VERY QUICK QUESTION: 999 and 999R Clutches

Are they the same or did the 999R come with a slipper?

Need to know asap due to eBay deadline

Thanks

i only need the drum and the basket for my 748, but if it's a slipper it won't fit my pressure plate.

so you're saying that the 999R clutch is just a bog standard item?

thanks

yep

ok. cheers. i would have thought they'd have fitted 'em with a slipper like the 748/9R

didn't they need to homologate the slipper then?

keefer 20-May-2006 20:34

the larger bikes didn't come with them.
they can change more parts
only the smaller bikes have them as they are only allowed the standard fitment item
it says in the add also that he has changed it for a slipper

yeah, i saw that, but plenty of 748R owners change their clutches as well. i wanted to make sure, just in case

thanks

the standard slipper items are not the best in the world.
and if you are flush then a ball and ramp stile item is considered by many to be a better item.
any way good luck
