Is it a 2003 r then as i thought the 04 came with that?

If it is, good price?? ;)

chillo 01-May-2004 11:01

Andy,

its a new 03 model on a 04 plate, was going to buy lapman's 998r special but i haven't been able to sell my 996r so far so i'm chopping it in for 999!
they had a couple going for 16999 which as you can imagine at that price sold straight away!

andyb 01-May-2004 11:19

yes good value..ish.
I had a similar deal with mine, and the price to swap with my trade in value, made it an offer i couldnt refuse.

You have obviously ridden with the genuine 999 engine, buzzin aint it. I thought completely different to the others?

chillo 02-May-2004 10:52

yeah i thought the stock 999 felt like it had a much smoother pick up.

Is there actually any differences between the 998 testastretta's and the 999 model engines? i didn't think there was?
