998R Price Found a 2002 998R at my local dealers just wondering what is a fair price? 2002 Ducati 998R - £11950, Red, 2191 miles, complete with Termi's. |
would you be better getting the 996R off Adamn for 4.5k less ? |
Offer them 11K in cash and go and enjoy it, your all rich tax exiles on the I of M anyway! On a serious note, its a very fine machine that you won`t regret buying. |
That sounds about right , give or take 500 GBP depending on condition and if it comes with all the original stuff ect [Edited on 2-3-2006 by Rick] |
I have to say, Adam's 996R is very very cheap! |
Not necessarily going to get one just interested me since it popped up and not many R's (to my knowledge) pop up that often. I'd be more interested in the Testastretta engined models really, possibly less problematic?? [Edited on 2-3-2006 by 748IOM] |
Adam's 996R is a testastreta model |
My 996R is a testastreta model as well! |
Price depends on variables like condition and how recently serviced. Low miles ain't the be all and end all. Doesn't seem too far away on price when you consider the sort of prices 998r have been for sale recently, either side of the one you have spotted. As for the 996r/998r debate, that doesn't really come into it if someone has made their mind. Two Ducati's similar but different if that makes any sense!! Subtle differences in spec and heritage is what I'm trying to say. Ray. |
OK I think I got confused between the standard 996 and the 996R. Is it only the 996R that had the new Testastretta? What are the basic differences between the 998R and 996R if someone doesn't mind putting them up for me? Also are R models as rare as I think they are? |
