Interest from RiDe magazine: S4 + 916
 

Nice to see that Ride magazine amongst others take an interest in the DSC.

Here is an edited version of an Email from the Editor:

I also thought I should warn you in advance that RiDE is doing a big
feature on the 916 in our next issue (on sale Dec 20th). It covers
the rise and fall of the 916, but more importantly, we are hoping to
dispel the myths and remove the fear from buying one.
We've even bought one ourselves for £3000 (from a dealer) and will
strip and rebuild it to show just what really goes wrong and what
doesn't.
The plan is to then run it on our long term project fleet throughout
2007 and try and get it 50,000 miles (currently 25k) and then take it
to bits.
Hopefully, it might be of interest to your members - any comments or
advice always welcome of course.

I asked Steve if he minded having the post here on the website which he didnt, I mentioned I enjoyed reading the S4 rebuild article recently and got this reply:

Glad you like the S4 stuff - we've got a unique take on Power
Commanders and some electrical problem solving coming up soon, as
well as the 916 stuff
