Oh yes, will be an interesting year methinks, roll on Donny!!. (missed it last year as the wife booked a holiday, i think this year she may check the dates first:lol:). |
It is a new track to the ex WSB boys, not sure if it was on the GP calender when Hodgson was with WCM, so both maybe learning a new track as well as bike. |
Latest result of poll on motoGP site for best looking bike at Sepang, Why am I not suprised by the result ? Ducati 4179 Yamaha 1879 Honda 2158 Kawasaki 842 Suzuki 237 Total: 9295 |
Looks like the "Rossi factor" is worth roughly a second a lap, even on a Yamaha. Good to see Edwards being right up there. Honda is not being very nice to him, me thinks. I hope he stuffs them by beating all other Hondas! |
Still not alot between the Hondas and Rossi's Yamaha and Bayliss has found 0.5 Secs Colin Edwards (Honda) – 2’02.845 Nicky Hayden (Honda) – 2’02.855 Sete Gibernau (Honda) – 2’02.914 Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) – 2’03.001 Carlos Checa (Yamaha) – 2’03.317 Makoto Tamada (Honda) – 2’03.490 Troy Bayliss (Ducati) – 2’03.748 Loris Capirossi (Ducati) – 2’03.914 Shinichi Itoh (Honda) – 2’03.936 Kousuke Akiyoshi (Suzuki) – 2’03.943 Shinya Nakano (Kawasaki) – 2’04.318 Alex Barros (Honda) – 2’04.427 Alex Hofmann (Kawasaki)– 2’04.568 Norick Abe (Yamaha) – 2’04.577 Marco Melandri (Yamaha) – 2’05.137 Gregorio Lavilla (Suzuki) – 2’05.290 Neil Hodgson (Ducati) – 2’05.524 Ruben Xaus (Ducati) – 2’05.628 Jeremy McWilliams (Aprilia) – 2’05.934 Shane Byrne (Aprilia) – 2’06.255 Andrew Pitt (Moriwaki) – 2’06.416 |
I wonder if Hayden was using the 'new' RCV ? Frank(e)bay |
i think he may well be on the new bike, I think the bike Edwards is on has the same engine spec as Hayden had at the last test. For some reason Biaggi isn't on the list maybe he didn't manage to go any faster than he did on day one. |
And the final day Nicky Hayden (Honda) – 2’02.041 Max Biaggi (Honda) – 2’02.108 Sete Gibernau (Honda) – 2’02.496 Colin Edwards (Honda) – 2’02.597 Valentino Rossi (Yamaha) – 2’02.746 Makoto Tamada (Honda) – 2’02.962 Carlos Checa (Yamaha) – 2’03.100 Loris Capirossi (Ducati) – 2’03.530 Troy Bayliss (Ducati) – 2’03.554 Alex Barros (Honda) – 2’03.558 Kousuke Akiyoshi (Suzuki) – 2’03.729 Shinichi Itoh (Honda) – 2’04.076 Shinya Nakano (Kawasaki) – 2’04.625 Neil Hodgson (Ducati) – 2’04.674 Marco Melandri (Yamaha) – 2’04.753 Gregorio Lavilla (Suzuki) – 2’05.756 Alex Hofmann (Kawasaki)– 2’04.817 Ruben Xaus (Ducati) – 2’04.929 Norick Abe (Yamaha) – 2’05.059 Shane Byrne (Aprilia) – 2’05.150 Jeremy McWilliams (Aprilia) – 2’06.574 Andrew Pitt (Moriwaki) – 2’06.912 |
I'll still put money on it that Rossi is toying with 'em. He won't get pole at the first race but he'll pull away mid race and win it. How's that for a prediction. If I'm wrong you can all buy me a beer :D |
