Front Wheel Spindle Tool Today I removed the front wheel for the first time, I followed Shazaam!'s wise words on wheel removal with one exception, my tool kit doesnt include the tool described thus "There's a tool that fits inside the right hand end of the axle that comes in the tool kit. It looks like a short piece of tubing with a couple of holes in it and a couple of pins sticking out on opposite side." can anyone send me a part number or advise where it can be bought. |
ProItalia in the States do one.Seen one in the U.K somewhere, but cant remember where at the mo. http://store.proitalia.com/800070139.html |
Back of a suitably sized spanner works for me. Insert it into the notch to stop the spindle turning. |
If it's the same as a 996, U2U me your address and I'll post you one. |
I use a small screwdriver inserted thru the holes left for adjusting the forks. I find that the spindle doesn't drift too much when doing it up so I only have to nudge it once or twice back into position before tightening it up completely [Edited on 10-5-2006 by moozaad] |
I use a screw driver as well. |
