Is this a geniune 996SPS Foggy Rep?

Did the decals come as an extra cause I have not seen one bike with the decals in the same place?

Probably. The decals were supplied in a pack for fitment by the dealer so they all tend to be slightly different

Yes, they came with a sticker sheet.
I believe that some dealers applied them, while others came bare but with the sheets.

If you really want to know for certain, get the frame and engine number and give Ducati UK a call as they will be able to check for you.

Thought the foggy's came with Showa forks, nice Ohlins upgrade if they did.

You can't discount some (identical) models having slightly different spec - this is Ducati after all! They operate a "Just In Time" factory where parts are bought in as they are needed, so there is no great stockpile of parts.

Should there not be enough Showa forks in the stores, they may well put Ohlins on it to get a finished bike out of the factory and into the show room.

Some of the early 996SPS bikes (low numbered plaques) had Showa on, but certainly the later ones came with Ohlins forks as standard.

That bike looks like a foggy rep with it's black 5-spokes (all other 5 spokes were grey), adjustable steering head (you can see the pinch bolt!), carbon airbox and painted mirrors, but the only real way to tell is to reference the engine and frame numbers.

Iam not interested in buying that particular bike, its just an image I found. I just wanted to confirm what it should look like, finish-wise. Just bought myself a standard 996, but love the black wheels and that particular decal set on this one.

You can pickup the decal sets quite cheap on ebay - I think the OEM Ducati ones are horrendously expensive!

They look naff, not even the same font!

whether it is or not
no Ducati came with those forks as standard.
they are Road and Track items not the run of the mill Ohlins given out for free
