Stick on front board or painted ?

Yes i know its been covered before - ive just checked out all the old threads and i realise paint is more professional but not easily reversable where boards are easily reversable but perhaps less professional.
But what im asking those with stick on bords or paint i suppose is:

If you have a stick on board at present and wanted the same effect again would you get it painted instead this time ?

Im not into cost cutting at all,i can get it painted very cheaply and i can also get a stick on board also for £45 ish.It makes no difference to me either way, apart from time off road for painting.I would just really value someone else's experience.

Thanks all.Regards Syer.

I think I'd go for the stick on one again. But try to take a little more time to fit it. I think I rushed the last one in excitement and it started to lift in the small creases either side of the screen.

But they are thicker and will not stone chip (at least the pro-chip one I have) and you can always take it off with a hairdryer if yu want.

:D

I had mine fitted at the shop and it started to lift after a week, was told its not good for bikes that get left outside:o!
Got mine painted after that looks MUCH better IMO

Plus you can write funny msgs on it with a whiteboard marker:roll:

Agree with that Tera...I had stick-on on the bip...went for painted on the SP3...much better..looks great. The problem with the stick-on is mine lifted a tad in the creased part, then water got in and there was no way it would stay stuck down after that.....

Had my stick on one now for two years.
It is garaged and never taken out in the rain. No lift probs here.

Thanks for the info guys.Decided to take my wheels of last night and took them to be powder coated to freshen em up.Seems like a good time to get the front sprayed now at the same time.Plus the fact the cheap stick on boards i had lined up are now not so cheap as i thought ! Oh well........

Regards Syer.
