Radiator Guard

Hi guys

any advice on maker/source of a decent radiator guard. There seem to be loads on eBay. After a quality item....

....a lot of stone chip on the Lincs roads after the spring thaw :(

thanks

Paul

Cheapest option is to make your own, very easy to do, pop down to B&Q pick up a square of the mesh you want to use, they have a few different colours and sizes or you could paint it if you cant find the colour the rest is simple could walk you through it if you like.

Otherwise its just a choice of what you want to buy ready made and how much you want to spend.

cheers mate

not even had the bike a week yet, so will poke around under the fairing this weekend and see what's what. Home made might be the way to go

Yup, as said, if you're handy and so inclined then B&Q etc is the cheapest way to go. If you're lazy and cack-handed (that's me) then this guy's stuff is good, with lots of options:

Hi Cobbett

just talking to Mike. He hasn't done one for a 999 as the clearance radiator to bodywork is quite tight. If there is a bit of flex then it could be possible.

Gonna get some cardboard and scissors out one evening this week and see what the shape and clearance is. Before heading to B&Q....

Interesting. It was very tight on my 998 - same rad? - and I got around that by just not using (at his suggestion) the thick plastic trimming which he supplies. No problem then.
