Modifications? Has anyone modified the rear end of their MTS or does anyone know where I could get it done? I would like to mount the rear light above the exhaust and into the seat cowling, something will have to be down with the indicators. I would also like to mount the number plate closer to the pipes so that you get a better view of the rear tyre - make sense? G |
Have a look on MULTISTRADA.NET you will find all sorts of information and discussion for the multistrada. |
yes I have been on that site and they could not help but a good site for info |
Lights Have you seen this site. They look quite trick with built in indicators. http://www.kenscustomlights.com/749-999.htm http://www.kenscustomlights.com/Ducati999/999.doc |
I'm liking those alot, however do you think I could get them to fit in the seat cowling? |
LEDS Don't know if they would fit. How about these flexible arrays. Available in red and amber Two shorties for the indicators and a central long one for the stop/tail (using the dual circuit converter) Cool :eureka: http://www.customdynamics.com/flex_led_array.htm |
Wow - with flexible led arrays you could make your bike just like Tron's !!!!! Reminds me of a previous posting :lol: |
Multi-tron-da I must have missed that thread. DISTURBING. I wonder if they consider our obsession with Ducatis as strange? Found this on ebay. They're for a CBR but they look trick and would possibly adapt. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.d...sPageName=WDVW Digressing, this may amuse you. I assume you are thinking of mounting the rear light above the exhausts, and fix it or replace the bit of black plastic trim? Not a lot of space there. The trim covers the rear portion of the subframe.I guess the led CBR light might just go in.(Did'nt iang fit one of these to a 999?)Also be carefull of routing the wires away from the hot can. As no-one makes a plate relocator for the MS yet,you will probably have to toddle down to a local engineering shop to get one made. |
