I've continued to monitor the website and improve the service and configuration that we are using, so it's now time to decommission the old server, and make a big saving on club bills!

Fingers crossed that it doesn't all disappear... :)

Thanks Frank. I'm really happy that it's worked out so well as it means that the club is in a good position to recover a dead website (unlike before!) and also that I've learnt enough about LAMP (Linux/Apache/MySQL/PHP) to know what I'm doing :)
The cost saving will really help the club as well, as it was our biggest single out-going cost and a massive reduction in the overheads which will allow us to improve and grow significantly in the future.
