impact drives
 
where can i get a non expensive impact driver, cordless or 12 volt. tried Halfords as someone mentioned on this site, said they dont do them.

Is this for undoing 748/996 rear wheel nuts?

Someone said the other day (yesterday?) that they used a off-the-battery impact driver successfully for this.

Looking at the list in the ebay link, even the chunky DeWalt DW056 has a max torque rating of 1170 in-lbs = 97.5 lb-ft = 132 Nm according to my phone calculator.


Sounds like that'd struggle to me.
