Yep, Mark got the wrong Kevin The Monster was initially measured in Feb 2011 in the following state Engine completely untouched and although carbs have a dyno-jet kit fitted its running standard air-box lid and standard paper filter. Exhaust is standard down-pipes with Hi-level Sils. Max BHP in 4th Gear Roll on was 44.9hp (SAE) Ben from Classic Bikes then rode it at Brands and I had it dyno'd again but can't recall what it measured that time or where the info may be, possibly mentioned in the article. Best route to improving the bhp is usually, re-seating the valves, shimming them and getting the cams dialled in |
You may want to try a known good pair of igniter units. These control ignition advance and can seriously pull down the bhp. Happened on my 583 and also Guy Lachlan's. I sold him my good units and his bike was transformed. |
low powered monster thanx for the help chaps, will look into that. |
My 583 std with termis made 43, after stage 2 kit and high lift filter made 50 |
