Engine vibration

Anyone experience engine vibration at around 8000 rpm?
I can feel it through the whole bike.

If i pull the clutch in at these revs and coast, the vibration disapears?

Yup,clears the nearer you get to the rev limiter tho.
How many miles have you done?

1300 now, its quite strong and then goes nearer the limiter as you say.

Have you found anything wrong?

Hmm,as an experiment I held the throttle constant at 8,000rpm.I reckon the bike was misfiring slightly.I'll get the dealer to check it out when its in for its next service.
The bike does seem to use a lot of fuel, maybe its running a bit rich?

what mpg u getting? i find 100 mile then im looking to fill...

'bout 100 miles to a tank,if I'm lucky!Did get 120 miles out of it once.(Could'nt have been wearing my lead weighted gloves! )
Dont forget my bike is not an R,just the "cooker" base model. On a recent run up to Yorkshire,Marko's standard 749 was using nearly a litre less fuel per fill up.
I'm not bothered about it,the bike is smooth enough through the rev range untill 8,000 rpm.
As I said before, the bike will be in for a service soon,so no doubt the injection/throttle bodies, etc will need to be set up.
