Think you're exclusive? How many left? Was sent a link to this site, which some of you stats nerds may also find interesting!! http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/ This site takes the DVLA licensing data and aggregates by model it to tell you how many of those vehicles are being licensed each year. While it's not the most accurate way, it gives a good indication of how many of that type of vehicle are out there. For example, you can search for Ducati: http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/?q=ducati and see how many of each are being licenced or SORNed. Eg: http://www.howmanyleft.co.uk/vehicle...i_1198_r_corse Ducati's Flagship 1198R Corse edition - 13 models! Some interesting stats in there. |
Ducati 600 SS left on the road a grand total of NINE. ....because the rest of them are whizzing round in the DD championship ;) |
As Ant says I'd take the DVLA sourced data with a pinch of salt. Vehicles are not always registered as the correct model. The data only shows how many currently licenced/taxed. Could a few more off road/sitting in a glass case etc. Does give a reasonable idea of how likely you are to suffer the embarassment of six other people turning up at your local bike haunt on the same bike!! Ray. |

Apparently it includes SORN bikes, so if a bike has been road-registered and then ends up in a glass case, in theory it should still be on the database. For the 600 SS, I'm sure there are more than 9 licenced and 4 on SORN :o |
And there is certainly more than 1 SP5 on the road! |
Ah, I thought they did a 400ss. My cousin brought one many moons ago, fun but not too quick. Andy |
