He'll need something to do.

Apparently it was announced in a Lincolnshire paper this week that Mason, Plater, and Haydon have all been dropped by Rob Mac at Virgin Yamaha for the 2005 BSB season. Hill & Wren retain their seats with AN-Other experienced rider being drafted in (rumours flying at the mo is that is may be Emmett)

Simon Reed 29-Sep-2004 10:38

You wuold've put money on Haydon gettin that no1 ride @ virgin,as he's done more for the team ,in results, with his temp ride than all ov em put together,Rob Mac offered it me,but i said " Sorry Rob,i don't work Sundays " !!! but there you go.

Got that engine built yet,Guy ??

I think Haydon is potentially beter than BSB, - ok I know BSB is good and great to watch but I do see it as a championship that is not going forward, - in reality it is a safe haven (although tough riding) for racers on their way down and now as a bit of experimental lets get the Jap riders used to foreign circuits type of thing. However the success of Shakey laughs on my theory above.

With WSBK looking to back on top form for next year I think his manager should be looking for a seat in there.

Rob Mac needs to focus his team really, - and as such needs to be tougher, - a bit more Paul Bird-esk? Rob has been great at picking up the lost sheep of the paddock, - and the young hopefuls but you do wonder how much longer Virgin Mobile will keep pumping in money without a champion?

Steve M 29-Sep-2004 11:06

Personaly, I don't think Haydon is up to GP standard or even good enough over a season to take the BSB title.

I agree with STEVE M,but it should keep DR Costa very busy!!!!

I'm expecting the first man into orbit................without a spacecraft!!
