TT Bike update
 

The ZXR400 has just returned from a successful test at PBRs trackday at Pembrey and will be going off later this week to have the ram air fitted and setup on the Dyno. Should then know what sort of power its putting out.

Steve I'm still waiting for the complete run down myself, I booked Adrian and Dallas in for the Phil Bevan trackday and had to stay behind to do 12hr nights. The ZXR400 has only just beeb built so had a bit of running in to do, so revs were kept initially 2k below the red and then kept to 1k below the red for the 2nd half of the day. its currently running standard jetting and filter with the tuned engine as there was no point in wasting time and money sorting this when the next stage involves fitting a ram airbox and dyno setup. tyres were road compound Pirelli Corsa Evos, we will be using race spec Diablos at the TT supplied by the guys in Ireland. Gearing was standard road which was way to high for Pembrey but will be what we start with at the TT, Suspension is done by Maxton to TT spec, so all in all a Real Roads race bike as opposed to a short circuit bike. So bearing in mind the idea was just to check it out and get a few miles on it without either binning it or blowing it up Adrian was just sticking in constant 1'10s. and was the smallest bike running in the fast group.
Dallas went with the intention of making some minor changes to his R1 to help improve his times using ths Same Diablo Corsas as he used last time. It would have helped of he hadn't left his NEW smaller front sprocket outside his back door along with his tool kit. He soon stated knocking out constant 1'09s, but futher progress was hindered by bottoming out front forks under braking for the hairpin and the to high gearing eventually took its toll on the clutch which is now slipping (typical early R1 problem that I had warned him about). Neither of them used tyre warmers and as the first 2 laps of each session are non overtaking behind a instructor on a warm track they didn't really need them.
For Adrian it was his first trackday and was impressed with the organisation and the amount of track time.
Day was capped off by Phil going out on the 996RS and putting in consistent 59's
