Tacho

Sorry im not to up with my bike terminology or technical side of things but was wondering if you could help. My 750 monster doesnt have a rev counter, it is a 2001 monster 750 and only has the single clock. Can you get a conversion that has the clock and the rev counter in it that will fit my monster? Is it easy to fit? Where can I get one and how much do you think it will cost? Is there a breakers yard anywhere in scotland that tends to have ducati parts in it? I presume I would just use the clock that is on my bike.

Thanks for any help folks.

Glenn:)

You used to be able to get a conversion which had the crescent shaped tacho above lights panel (i had one, got Scotbike to wire it up at not too great a cost). I bought it 2nd hand so don't know who made it. Don't know how easy it would be to fit a tacho/speedo set up from a later monster, think there may be electrical/ignition issues.

There's a breakers in Glasgow but they never have Ducati stuff, also one in Ayr that has the the odd bit. You'd be better off with Ebay, or Bikenders who specialise in Dukes

Ive got this brand new one for £50 (they are £119 from a dealer). It is designed specifically for the 600/750, model year 2000 onwards..

All you need to do then is buy part number 96908999C which is a carbon binnacle with idiot lights..

Let me know if its of interest..

Cheers

Road Racing used to make this little beauty,...sadly seems to have been dropped from their catalogue.
