I've got all the injection stuff...well a complete engine with knackered cranckcases and no gears, carbon airbox etc....Any ideas gratefully recieved,,

Yes it will. You will need a reg/rec if yours is pre 99 single phase electrics.

Hi, many thanks for the reply..are there any issues with the swinging arm mounting or are they the same? Do you know what the power output is....any difference?

Not really, not if you need the cases. The ST4 runs the swingarm bearings in the crankcases. Your 916 runs them in the arm with just holes thru' the cases for the swingarm spindle. The width across the cases is also different...might be able to machine them and add spacers, but it's not a straight swap by any stretch.
