Superlight Hi just bought a mk3 Superlight and have a few initial questions, the fuel pump seems to run all the time even without the engine running, is this correct? also the battery light won't come on when the key is turned it seems to have a replacement rectifier fitted with an extra bracket, bulb checked and ok, and the fuel light won't work bulb ok and tank empty, I assume I need a new thermister, thanks |
It may be that the fuel pump relay is sticking - it is a mechanical part after all so they do wear out! Should be a simple and cheap (£5) job to replace and always worth doing if you don't know the age of it. Not sure about the battery light or the fuel light though, hopefully someone else will give you some pointers! |
Thanks it didn't seem right that it runs constantly without the engine running |
