New Paintjob

What do you think?

ST4 14-Aug-2003 13:58

Doesnt look quite as much like an ex AA bike as it did !

Paul.

Monty 14-Aug-2003 14:09

Does that mean you like it then Paul, or are you just glad it's not yours??

John

ST4 14-Aug-2003 15:59

I'm really not sure John! I'd love the bike whatever colour it was. I think that with the panniers on its just too yellow. Maybe it needs the theme of the strip carrying on at the top of the fairing, maybe black mirrors?
Couldnt you have just painted it red?

Paul. (rockhopper)

Blimey - those downpipes need attention!!

DJ Tera 14-Aug-2003 17:02

you should see mine mate! :o

Jools 14-Aug-2003 22:37

Now then, now then, now then you 996/8 lot

The downpipes are all like that on ST's sir!

They live out in the open directly behind the front tye and take all the crap when we ride them in the wet and through the winter. Bakes on a treat and nearly impossible to clean. Good job it's a stainless steel pipe or it'd have the life span of a gnat

IMO,the side panels would look nicer if they where half black, half yellow.Have a look at the pic and draw an imaginary line from the point where the fairing lowers join. Its just a bit higher than where the light is shining on the panels.I reckon the upper bit should be yellow.
You could go and paint the top section of the fairing/tank black as well.

Aotearoa 15-Aug-2003 11:15

Looking good mate...and at the end of the day its what you like that matters.
I think it will look wicked with the panniers on as well!;);)

fatduke11111 16-Aug-2003 21:50

I think all black would look pretty neat - but that's not a bad looking scheme you've got there....thumbs up...:) You've got to put the panniers on - I think any bike looks a bit odd with the rails but without the boxes - my tuppence worth...
