Starter motor not working - relay maybe? After my first session at Cadwell on Saturday, the starter motor failed to work so had to resort to "bumping" her off, not easy on a 996 with a slipper! Not had a chance to look at the problem yet other than to try to hot wire the switch - didn't make any difference. Think it could be the starter motor relay? If I remember rightly it's down by the battery. Anybody else had this? :sing: |
Yes, was caused by a poor connection to the starter relay (round thing, bottom right of battery tray). Cleaned the contacts, replaced the cable tie holding it tight in place, and it's been ok since. [Edited on 14-6-2005 by Mr_S] |

Funny old thing, Nelly suggested that as well. Will investigate further now. Thanx |
