Well..got the tyre fitted to the marchesini magnesium rear wheel today....talon are going to knock up a gold sprocket for it as the carrier is a five bolt fixing (apparently its a corsa fixing).

Couldnt believe the weight difference !!!:o The standard 888 wheels must be the worlds heaviest coz with the tyre on it takes 2 hands to lift (and its still a struggle!)..I can lift the new wheel/tyre combo quite easily with one hand !

So come on..let have some weight saving guesses for the new rear wheel setup..:D

Weight of the standard wheel/tyre/disc is 13.4kg...closest gets to pat themselves on the back !!

Cheers

"...std 888 wheel.. takes 2 hands to lift (and its still a struggle!)......."

I'm surprised you can pull the clutch in then!
Too much looking at glossy pictures, maybe?:o

I almost beat you to Celeste's wheels, but the aggro of getting two carriers made up so I can change gearing at the track quickly was too much for me - I'll just have to carry on with the cast lead ones.........

Weight of new setup depends how much rubber is left !
