Just starting to think about mods and maintainence to be done whilst the bike (old 1994 600ss) is laid up this winter.

I need some advice:

1) The swingarm is going rusty inside. Will an ally one off a 750Ss fit?

2) I need to replace the clip-ons to get more comfortable (and they are going rusty, too) - any suggestions?

3) I also need adjustable span levers - the ones on sale at the tail ender were rubbish. Any suggestions?

Don't suggest getting rid of the bike for a new/better model, I'm keeping her until she becomes a much sought after classic!

Hi there,

Think I've been here too long....

1) - I'm led to believe an Ally swingarm will fit as I've read about it being done, but I'm dammned if i can remember the site.
Maybe have a word with the guys at Reservoir cogs...
900ss is also Alloy
Mechahex (sorry I've had a few cans - lol - also make swing arms)

2) - Clipons - Helibar / cyclecat are ones to look up - I've managed to cobble my own together - check out my other posts - piccies in there somewhere.

3) - I got some adjustable span levers from Ebay for £25 the pair I believe - never used the clutch one yet. Carbon effect and others are available now from M&P / Demon Tweeks and others.

Good luck - Frank
